DR JOHN C. MORRIS

Dr Morris has over 30 years of experience working in the IPP industry in the Asia-Pacific region, in addition to seven years in the upstream oil & gas sector. He has held senior management positions for several IPP majors and has developed and managed large power projects in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam & Australia. Dr Morris is recognised as an expert in deregulated wholesale and retail electricity markets. Prior to entering the power industry, he worked as an oil exploration geophysicist in areas ranging from Burma to Spitzbergen. In 1983, he captained the Auckland University Challenge team and was awarded a UGC scholarship. He holds Bachelors degrees in Maths, Physics and Archaeology plus a PhD in Geology.
